Our 2026 Bear Creek Cider is Wine of the Month! Traditional ciders use apples that are crushed, pressed into juice, and fermented. Most ciders have a crisp, tart, and fruit forward flavor profile. The type of apple you use creates its own specific taste profile.
Virginia orchards have experienced significant frost damage the last three years as have we. Ashmeade Kernel apples have not been available so the blend in our cider this year is Granny Smith, Wickson Crab, and Fuji apples which are crisp and refreshing!
