Fire up the BBQ this Summer!
Let’s get fired up, it’s BBQ season! If you’re like us, you look forward to July’s annual BBQ Festival & Competition, Chillin’ and Grillin’ in the Glades! But when it comes to wine, which one should you bring to the cook-out? Here are our top picks…
Pardee Red is a versatile blend featuring beautiful summer flavors of fresh cherry and fruit. Not only is this wine pleasing to a spectrum of wine drinkers, it’s also food-friendly and is perfect for spicy BBQ foods! Concord wine lovers will find this sweet and smooth red is best with mildly spicy BBQ. (Both of these are also great for our ‘Pardee Red Pork Chops’ recipe!)
If you’re having brisket or steak, bring a bottle of Jawbone. This medium-bodied, dry red has wonderful acidity with bold cherry flavors overlaid with vanilla and wood smoked tones. If you like a little more fruit and a hint of sweetness, go for Dorchester Red.
Stop by the winery and find out which one of these delicious reds is a perfect match to your cooking style! You can look forward to award-winning BBQ and award-winning wines….what a winning combination!
